THERAPIES

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Specific disorder protocol-driven therapy for depression and a range of anxiety disorders, e.g. Trauma-Focused CBT, CBT for OCD, CBT for generalised anxiety, CBT for health anxiety, CBT for phobias, CBT for panic disorder, CBT for social anxiety, CBT for low self-esteem, CBT for perfectionism, CBT for long term conditions, CBT for pain, CBT for insomnia, and many more.
Within the course of therapy, we aim to collaboratively explore your individual circumstances and help you understand how your problem has developed and what maintains it. And to design strategies to reduce the difficulties and disrupt the vicious cycles that keep the problem going.

TRAUMA FOCUSED SUPPORT & THERAPIES
Trauma assessment
I provide a detailed psychological assessment for individuals experiencing a range of mental health difficulties following a traumatic experience/s.
Trauma Focused CBT
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based form of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) specifically developed for treatment of individuals impacted by trauma/ PTSD. Research shows that TF-CBT successfully resolves a broad array of emotional and behavioral difficulties associated with single, multiple and complex trauma experiences. NICE recommends 8–12 regular weekly sessions.
Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a newer form of therapy, with a rapidly growing evidence base. It evolved from EMDR (Eye-movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing therapy) and it also uses eye movement and bilateral stimulation but is gentler, more attuned and less technical/ protocol-driven. Brainspotting is deep, direct, and powerful yet focused and containing.. The treatment works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms.
Depending on clients’ individual needs
I also integrate elements from Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory, Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and narrative approaches.

Integrative approach and other therapies
I offer individualised, formulation-driven therapy sessions, based on the outcome of a collaborative psychological assessment. This means I will often draw on different approaches and methods to tailor the treatment depending on individual needs and goals.
Aside from the above mentioned core therapy models (CBT, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal Theory, Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and narrative approaches, I often draw on the principles and techniques of Solution-Focused Therapy.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
As the name suggests, SFBT is future-focused, goal-directed, and focuses on solutions, rather than on the problems that brought clients to seek therapy. SFBT an evidence-based therapeutic approach, which incorporates positive psychology principles and practices, and is a hope friendly, positive emotion eliciting, future-oriented vehicle for formulating, motivating, achieving, and sustaining desired behavioural change.
