There are times in life when we all experience difficulties such as feeling anxious, depressed, stressed, stuck or overwhelmed with problems. Some of us prefer to speak to someone other than our family or friends but it may be difficult to make a decision to come to therapy or know how to find the help we need. Therapy can be a powerful process helping you explore your difficulties in a safe and supportive space. Having an assistance of a qualified Clinical and Counselling Psychologist and accredited CBT therapist can help you step back from your problems, make sense of your experiences and move forward in your chosen direction. My aim is to guide you gently and sensitively to find the right solutions for you and help you overcome your emotional and mental difficulties. I strongly believe that each individual is unique and therefore I aim to tailor the therapy to individual needs. My main approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Brainspotting (a therapy which evolved from EMDR), third wave therapies (ACT, CFT, schema therapy and narrative approaches), parts work (IFS and Brainspotting) and Brief Solution Focused interventions.  

I aim to provide effective, solution-focused approaches adhering to the highest ethical standards, including:

  • One-to-one psychological assessment as well as individual psychotherapy
  • Group therapy (if there are enough participants interested to form a group)
  • Psychoeducation & training (guest lecturers and short skills workshops, e.g. stress management, assertiveness training, anger management training, working with unhelpful thinking styles, building confidence and self-esteem)
  • Expert witness reports
  • Clinical supervision

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

is an evidence-based, well established, talking therapy that has been proven to help tackle a wide range of emotional and physical health conditions in adults, young people and children. CBT looks at how changes in the way we think can impact the way we feel and behave. The therapist and client work together in changing the client’s behaviours, or their thinking patterns, or both of these. CBT has been thoroughly researched and is highly recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines for the treatment of various problems.

Brief Solution Focused Interventions

help people identify and achieve their preferred future and move them on from problem-focus to solution orientation. The interventions are brief and focused on the exploration of solutions and preferred outcomes.


is a highly attuned brain-body-based relational therapy. It is a very powerful, focused method, discovered by psychologist Dr David Grand in 2003. It works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms. In essence, every emotional, physical, and mental state is mapped in our visual field. When we focus on these “spots” (called brainspots) in our visual field, it allows our system to successfully identify, process, and release core sources of physical/ emotional pain, trauma, and a variety of other challenging symptoms that are out of reach of the conscious mind. The Brainspotting therapist aids you in locating these “spots” in the visual field, allowing your system to successfully process them faster than conventional methods.
